BILOXI, Miss. � The Mississippi Sea Wolves announced today that during the first intermission at Friday�s home game, which gets underway at 7:35 p.m. against the Florida Everblades at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum, their fans will attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the most people to pop balloons simultaneously.
Doors open at 6:35 p.m. at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on Friday and the first 3,000 fans will receive a balloon courtesy of SpaceWalk of Ocean Springs.
The current record of 1,603 was set on January 22, 2004 at a University men�s basketball game held at Gross Memorial Coliseum in Hays, Kansas.
The ECHL Kelly Cup will be on hand for Friday�s game in section 15 at the Wolves Den.
Friday�s game is also Youth For Christ Night beginning with live bands and inflatable games for the youth starting at 6 p.m. outside the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. During the game, the Sea Wolves will be wearing special jerseys to be auctioned off postgame to benefit Youth For Christ.
In addition, the first 2,000 fans will receive Thundersticks courtesy of Aaron�s Sales and Leasing in Long Beach.
It�s also Military 2-for-1 on Friday, sponsored by Keesler Federal Credit Union, which offers all military personnel, active or retired, two tickets for the price of one by showing military identification at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum box office.
The Sea Wolves take to the ice at 7:05 p.m. tonight against the Pensacola Ice Pilots at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. It�s Discounted Daiquiri Night, offering $2 off each daiquiri.
