BILOXI, Miss. � Mississippi Sea Wolves general manager and head coach Bob Woods announced today that goaltender Jason Wolfe has been traded to the Bakersfield Condors for goaltender Randy Petruk (peh-TRUHK).
Wolfe, 27, appeared in 15 games with Mississippi this season. The 6-foot-5 and 230-pound Wolfe posted a 7-8-0 record with a 3.17 goals-against average and save percentage of .908. A native of College Park, Maryland, Wolfe was named the Sea Wolves Goaltender of the Month for October and November. After signing as a free agent on September 7, Wolfe made a season-high 47 saves on November 6 against Gwinnett in Mississippi�s 4-1 victory.
Petruk, 26, played in 23 games with Bakersfield in 2004-05, posting an 11-8-2 record with a 2.94 goals-against average and .891 save percentage. The 5-foot-10 and 195-pound Petruk is in his seventh season of professional hockey. A native of Cranbrook, British Columbia, Petruk was selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the fourth round, 107th overall in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft.
