BILOXI, Miss. � The Mississippi Sea Wolves were victorious in the final game of three games in three days by blanking Gwinnett 5-0 on Saturday to complete the week with a 1-2-0 record.
On Thursday, Mississippi dropped a 4-3 decision to Louisiana at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. The next night, the Sea Wolves visited Lafayette and were handed a 5-2 defeat by the IceGators. Mississippi completed its three-in-three on Saturday with a 5-0 win at Duluth, Georgia against the Gwinnett Gladiators.
After 34 of 72 regular season ECHL games, the Sea Wolves have posted a 17-14-3 record for 37 points.
Mississippi is in fourth place in the South Division and ranks in a tie with the South Carolina Stingrays for eighth place in the 12-team American Conference, where the top eight teams make the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
The Sea Wolves are 8-8-1 at home, 9-6-2 on the road, 2-2 in overtime games and 2-1 in shootouts.

The 24-year-old notched a goal and had an assist on Friday at Louisiana, then followed it up by collecting two helpers at Gwinnett on Saturday. A native of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Cava has also posted a career-high 11 points with four goals and seven assists in 31 games, while accumulating a plus/minus of +2 overall. The 6-foot and 200-pound Cava is second in the ECHL with 14 major penalties and has 118 penalty minutes.
GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK � Matt Underhill went 1-1-0 in two games last week highlighted by earning his third shutout of the season by making 29 saves at Gwinnett on Saturday in the Sea Wolves 5-0 victory. The 25-year-old has appeared in 18 games compiling a 9-6-3 record with Mississippi this season. A native of Campbell River, British Columbia, Underhill has a team-leading 2.65 goals-against average, .923 save percentage to go along with three shutouts, which is tied for second among ECHL goaltenders.
