Cava Placed On Injured Reserve

BILOXI, Miss. � Mississippi Sea Wolves general manager and head coach Bob Woods announced today that defenseman Chris Cava (KAHV-ah) has been placed on the 7-day injured reserve.

Cava, 24, ranks second in the ECHL with 14 major penalties. The 6-foot and 200-pound Cava has registered three goals, seven points and 116 penalty minutes in 28 games with Mississippi this season. A native of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Cava is in his fourth full professional season and third season with the Sea Wolves. 

Mississippi gets back into action at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday against the Texas Wildcatters at Ford Arena in Beaumont.
