Mississippi Climbs Back To 500 Mark

BILOXI, Miss. � The Mississippi Sea Wolves took two of three games last week to even their record at 6-6-1 through 13 games.

On Friday, the Augusta Lynx downed Mississippi 3-1 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. The Sea Wolves won their first road game of the season on Saturday, doubling up the Texas Wildcatters 4-2 at Ford Arena in Beaumont. Mississippi clawed back to the breakeven point on Sunday, by defeating Augusta 4-1 at the Wolves Den.

After 13 of 72 regular season games, the Sea Wolves are 6-6-1 with 13 points. Mississippi is 5-3-1 at home, 1-3-0 on the road and 2-1 in shootouts.

Mississippi is tied for second place in the South Division with Louisiana and sits in a fifth place tie with the IceGators in the American Conference.

* First-ever meeting between the teams and only regular season head-to-head contest
* Las Vegas is in its second season in the ECHL, while Mississippi is in its ninth ECHL campaign

PLAYER OF THE WEEK � Left wing Pat O�Leary recorded four points (3g-1a) last week, highlighted by scoring his first-ever hat trick. The 6-foot-2 and 200-pound O�Leary netted three straight goals for a natural hat trick, including a power-play goal, game-winning goal and a plus/minus of +2 in the Sea Wolves 4-2 win at Texas on Saturday. A native of Plymouth, Minnesota, O�Leary completed the week by collecting an assist in Mississippi�s 4-1 victory over Augusta on Sunday. The 25-year-old O�Leary was acquired in a trade with the Pee Dee Pride on November 3 for future considerations.

GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK � Goaltender Jason Wolfe made 37 saves in his only appearance last week, backstopping Mississippi to a 4-1 win on Sunday against Augusta. A 6-foot-5 and 230-pound Wolfe has posted a 4-3-0 record this season. The 26-year-old native of College Park, Maryland, Wolfe has compiled a 2.93 goals-against average and .923 save percentage.
