BILOXI, Miss. � Mississippi Sea Wolves Professional Hockey announced today that center Nicolas Corbeil (KOR-bay) has been assigned by the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
Corbeil, 21, comes to the Sea Wolves after attending Rochester�s training camp. The 5-foot-11 and 185-pound Corbeil signed with Mississippi as a free agent on July 26. A native of Boisbriand, Quebec, Corbeil played with three teams last season. He appeared in 31 games with Florence (now Pee Dee) of the ECHL, tallying nine goals, 24 points and 18 penalty minutes. Corbeil played in one game with Norfolk of the American Hockey League and completed the 2003-04 campaign by returning to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He finished the season with Cape Breton, notching a total of 10 goals and 35 points in 27 games. Corbeil was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the third round, 88th overall in 2001.

Training camp on-ice sessions, which are open to the public, continue at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
The Sea Wolves open their ninth ECHL season at 7:35 p.m. on Friday, October 22 against the Louisiana IceGators at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
