Jarmuth Assigned To Sea Wolves; Training Camp Opens Tomorrow

BILOXI, Miss. � Mississippi Sea Wolves Professional Hockey announced today defenseman Mike Jarmuth (JAHR-muhth) has been assigned to the team after attending the training camp of the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

Jarmuth, 22, signed as a free agent with the Sea Wolves on August 11. The 6-foot and 205-pound Jarmuth played the past four seasons at Western Michigan of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association in Kalamazoo from 2000-04 collecting a four-year total of 13 goals, 56 assists, 69 points and 78 penalty minutes in 143 games. After completing last season at Western Michigan, Jarmuth appeared in a total of 13 games with Kalamazoo of the United Hockey League, registering three assists.


The Sea Wolves on-ice training camp sessions, which are open to the public, start at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.

There are 24 players invited to tomorrow's first on-ice session.

Goaltenders (3) � Brian Gallagher, Randy Hevey and Jason Wolfe

Defensemen (10) � Chris Cava, Kerry Ellis-Toddington, Lee Jacobson, Mike Jarmuth, Jason Kean, Mike Martone, Milt Mastad, Austin Miller, Rickard Oquist and Patrick Rochon.

Forwards (11) � Anthony Battaglia, Tyler Bellamy, Darryl Campbell, Bobby Cunningham, Lucas Drake, Louis Dumont, Andy Johnson, Jay Legault, Travis Lisabeth, Tristan Lush and Justin Messer.


Left wing Jeff Hutchins, who has signed with Mississippi, remains at the AHL Grand Rapids Griffins training camp and center Nicolas Corbeil is at camp with Rochester. 

Mississippi begins its pursuit for the 2005 Kelly Cup at 7:35 p.m. on Friday, October 22 at home against the Louisiana IceGators at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
