BILOXI, Miss. The Mississippi Sea Wolves will continue their participation in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Societys Third Annual Gulf Coast Light the Night Walk, despite the fact that the date has been changed to October 28 at Jones Park in Gulfport.
The Sea Wolves are inviting and encouraging anyone to join their walk team or form their own team to support such a wonderful cause. Participants who raise at least $100 will carry an illuminated balloon through the walk to signify their personal commitment to the cause and will also receive an official LTN T-shirt. Dedication banners will be displayed to give everyone an opportunity to place a name or message in honor of or in memory of a family member or friend with cancer.
To join the Mississippi Sea Wolves Walk Team, contact Albert Branca at (228) 388-6151 or [email protected].
Light The Night is the Societys nationwide evening walk and fundraiser to celebrate and commemorate people whose lives have been touched by cancer. Participants carry illuminated balloonswhite for cancer survivors and red for supportersbrightening the sky along a two-mile walk in their communities.
The festivities at Jones Park in Gulfport will begin at 5:30 p.m. on October 28 and the walk will commence at 7 p.m. in an effort to Light the Night and brighten the future for millions. Food, drinks and entertainment will be provided for all to enjoy, so dont miss this one-of-a-kind opportunity to share in illuminating hope in the lives of hundreds of Mississippians touched by cancer.
