Sea Wolves Release Revised 2003-04 Schedule

BILOXI, Miss. � The Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL announced a revised 72-game schedule for the 2003-04 regular season. The revision to the schedule was necessitated when the Arkansas RiverBlades unexpectedly announced that they did not plan to play in 2003-04.

Mississippi will play its eighth ECHL season in the new Eastern Division of the Western Conference with the Columbus Cottonmouths, Louisiana IceGators, Pensacola Ice Pilots and first-year Texas Wildcatters.

The Sea Wolves open the season on the road at Louisiana on Friday, October 17. Mississippi�s home opener remains on Saturday, October 18, but the opponent has changed from Pensacola to Louisiana.

The Sea Wolves home games against division rivals include eight contests against Texas, Louisiana and Pensacola visit seven times, while Columbus makes five trips to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.

Mississippi will host two new ECHL teams based in California. The Fresno Falcons visit Biloxi on November 9 and the San Diego Gulls make an appearance on February 17. Four other teams make one trip each to the Wolves Den. The Gwinnett Gladiators (formerly Mobile Mysticks) make an appearance on January 13, the Augusta Lynx stop by on January 23, Florence (formerly Pee Dee) Pride visit on February 3 and the Greensboro Generals play in Biloxi on February 6. The Columbia Inferno travel to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on January 2, marking a rematch of the last season�s Southern Conference Finals. The Florida Everblades play back-to-back games at the Wolves Den on March 5 and 6.

The day of the week breakdown for the Sea Wolves 36 home games include five Tuesday dates, two Thursday games, 10 games on Friday, 12 Saturday contests and seven Sunday dates.

Mississippi�s monthly breakdown of its home games consist of four games in October, November has five games on the home slate, six home games are scheduled for December, seven are in January, February has six home contests, there are also six in March and two home dates in April.

The longest Sea Wolves homestand is five games from January 13 to January 25.

Mississippi�s longest road trip lasts seven games from November 11 to November 21.
