BOISE, Idaho (Ticker) -- Scott Burt scored early in overtime and Dan Ellis made 29 saves as the Idaho Steelheads edged the Florida Everblades, 1-0, to take a commanding three games to none lead in the Kelly Cup Finals.
Burt tallied just 78 seconds in the extra period on a feed from Derek Paget.
Ellis stopped 15 shots in the first period en route to his third shutout of the playoffs. Ellis improved to 12-2 and has allowed just 25 goals in over 800 minutes of play in the postseason.
Jeff Maund turned away 24 of 25 shots to suffer the loss for Florida, which looks to avoid elimination in Game 4 on Friday.
