ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (Ticker) -- Kevin Colley had two goals in the first period as the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies topped the Columbia Inferno, 3-1, to grab a three games to one advantage in the Kelly Cup Finals.
Colley, who leads the Kelly Cup Playoffs with 12 goals, scored 6:04 into the game to start the scoring and potted the eventual game-winner 2:57 later.
Jim Henkel, who assisted on the first score by Colley, added an empty-net goal to account for the final margin for the Boardwalk Bullies, who moved to within one victory of winning the Kelly Cup with Game 5 to be played in Atlantic City on Wednesday at 7:35 p.m.
Scott Stirling, who has allowed just one goal in three wins in the series, stopped 23 shots, allowing only a power-play score by Paul Cabana late in the second period.
Josh Blackburn made 21 saves, including 12 in the final period, in a losing effort for Columbia, which has been outshot, 122-89, in the series.
