Southern Conference Finals Schedule Announced

BILOXI, Miss. � The Mississippi Sea Wolves and Columbia Inferno have announced the 2003 Kelly Cup Playoffs dates and times for the Southern Conference Finals best-of-seven series.

Please note the time zones for the following schedule, which is a 2-3-2 format:

Game 1 � Wednesday, April 23 at Columbia � 7:05 p.m. ET Carolina Coliseum, Columbia, South Carolina

Game 2 � Friday, April 25 at Columbia � 7:05 p.m. ET Carolina Coliseum, Columbia, South Carolina

Game 3 � Sunday, April 27 vs. Columbia � 5:05 p.m. CT Mississippi Coast Coliseum, Biloxi, Mississippi

Game 4 � Monday, April 28 vs. Columbia � 7:05 p.m. CT Mississippi Coast Coliseum, Biloxi, Mississippi

*Game 5 � Wednesday, April 30 vs. Columbia � 7:05 p.m. CT Mississippi Coast Coliseum, Biloxi, Mississippi

Mississippi and Columbia have never played against one another. In the 2003 Kelly Cup Playoffs, both teams have a record of 6-0. Mississippi defeated the Pensacola Ice Pilots in the Southwest Division Semifinals, 3 games to 0 and swept the Louisiana IceGators in the Southwest Division Finals in three straight games. Columbia knocked off the defending Kelly Cup Champion Greenville Grrrowl in the Southeast Division Semifinals, 3 games to 0 and took the Pee Dee Pride in the Southeast Division Finals in three consecutive games.

During the regular season, both teams finished as the first seed in their respective divisions. Southwest Division Champion Mississippi finished with 92 points and a record of 44-24-4.

The Sea Wolves were 26-7-3 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and finished 18-17-1 on the road.

Southeast Division Champion Columbia receives home-ice advantage by picking up four more points during the regular season with 96.

The Inferno were also tops in the Southern Conference with a 47-23-2 record. Columbia was 26-10-0 at the Carolina Coliseum and posted a 21-13-2 road record.
