BILOXI, Miss. � Mississippi Sea Wolves coach and director of hockey operations Bob Woods announced today that the team has signed free agent right wing Yannick Tremblay (YAHN-ihk TRAHM-blay).
Tremblay, 26, played with Sherbrooke in the Quebec Semi-Pro Hockey League tallying 34 goals, 65 points and 136 penalty minutes in 50 games. A 5-foot-10 and 190-pound native of Alma, Quebec, Tremblay also appeared in 10 postseason games with Sherbrooke netting five goals and 14 points to go along with 25 penalty minutes.
�I�ve heard good things about Yannick,� said Woods. �He plays a feisty style and has the ability to put up offensive numbers. It�s up to Tremblay to show us what he can do over the next five regular season games.�
Tremblay is expected to make his pro debut with the Sea Wolves at 4:05 p.m. today against the Columbus Cottonmouths at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. It�s the 2nd Annual Faceoff Against Kids Cancer charity event.
