BILOXI, Miss. � The Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL have placed center John Evangelista (ih-vahn-jehl-LIHST-ah) on the 7-day injured reserve and activated defenseman Jason Kean from the 7-day injured reserve.
Evangelista, 28, has appeared in 57 games with the Sea Wolves this season, tallying three goals, 20 points, an even plus/minus and 46 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-9 and 185-pound Evangelista is in his sixth professional season and fifth year with Mississippi.
Kean, 24, missed two games after being placed on the injured reserve on March 11. A 5-foot-11 and 195-pound Kean has notched one goal, nine points, a plus/minus of +10 and 67 penalty minutes in 38 games with Mississippi.
Kean is expected to be in Mississippi�s lineup at 7:05 p.m. tonight against the Louisiana IceGators at Cajundome in Lafayette. Game coverage begins at 6:50 p.m. with the Nextel Pregame Show on WTNI-AM 1640 and online at msseawolves.com.
