BILOXI, Miss. � The Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL received a sweetheart of a gift for Valentine�s Day, activating defenseman Jim Baxter off the 7-day injured reserve.
Baxter, 24, missed three games after being placed on injured reserve February 7. The 6-foot-3 and 215-pound Baxter is tied for third among ECHL defensemen with 48 points, his 13 goals ranks second and 35 assists is fourth overall for league defensemen. The native of Brantford, Ontario was named the C&T Hockey Products ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for December with a plus/minus of +13. In 2002-03, Baxter was named the ECHL Defenseman of the Year and All-ECHL First Team Defenseman.
