BILOXI, Miss. � The Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL announced today that right wing Travis Lisabeth (LIHS-ah-behth) has been loaned to the Manchester Monarchs (New Hampshire) of the American Hockey League.
Lisabeth, 23, receives his first-ever AHL call-up. The 6-foot and 200-pound Lisabeth tied a Mississippi team record by tallying points in 13 consecutive games from December 30 to January 31, posting nine goals and 10 assists over that span. Lisabeth was also runner up for the C&T Hockey Products ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for January with a plus/minus of +15. Through 46 games this season, Lisabeth has accumulated 17 goals, 34 points, plus/minus of +10 and 86 penalty minutes. Lisabeth attended training camp with Manchester in 2003. He is expected to be in the Monarchs lineup for their next game on Saturday at Albany, New York.
Lisabeth becomes the fourth Mississippi player to receive an AHL call-up this season, joining Greg Gardner (Rochester), Brent Gauvreau (Bridgeport) and Jeff Hutchins (Houston).
Mississippi gets back into action with a pair of games at Estero, Florida. Tomorrow, the Sea Wolves and Florida Everblades drop the puck beginning at 6:30 p.m. CT at TECO Arena. The Sea Wolves return home for a 6:35 p.m. game on Tuesday against the San Diego Gulls for the first-ever meeting between the teams at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
