Kean Activated; Cava Placed On IR |
BILOXI, Miss. � The Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL announced today that defenseman Jason Kean has been activated from the 7-day injured reserve, while defenseman Chris Cava has been placed on the 7-day injured reserve.
Kean, 24, has appeared in 10 games with the Sea Wolves this season, posting one goal, one assist and 10 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-11 and 185-pound Kean is in his rookie season of professional hockey.
Cava, 23, goes on the IR for the second time this season. The 6-foot and 200-pound native of Thunder Bay, Ontario missed five games earlier this season while on injured reserve. Cava has one assist and 120 penalty minutes in 26 games with Mississippi.
Kean is expected to be in the Sea Wolves lineup at 7:35 p.m. tonight against the Pensacola Ice Pilots at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. Promotions include $5 tickets for students and Teacher Appreciation Night, courtesy of Cellular South and WXXV Fox 25. The first 1,500 fans receive a Roadhouse Grill puck giveaway. There are also $2 drafts and $2 hotdogs from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The game can be heard beginning at 7:20 p.m. with the Nextel Pregame Show on WTNI-AM 1640 and online at www.msseawolves.com.
