Walby�s Winter Coat Drive Begins Saturday |
BILOXI, Miss. � Mississippi Sea Wolves captain Steffon Walby is heading up �Walby�s Winter Coat Drive� over the next three home games, starting at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday against Pensacola at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
�I hope the fans can bring their outgrown gently-worn winter coat to the games,� said Walby. �The holiday season is a great time to help the less fortunate.�
In addition to Saturday�s game, fans have opportunities to drop off coats at Sea Wolves home games on Friday, January 2 versus Columbia and Saturday, January 3 against Louisiana.
Walby and his teammates will deliver the coats to the Nourishing Place for distribution to local families in crisis. Edgewater Cleaners will take care of cleaning the coats.
Mississippi gets back into action at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at Columbus, Georgia to face the Cottonmouths. Listen live starting at 6:15 p.m. with the Nextel Pregame Show on ESPN Radio WXBD-AM 1490 and online at www.msseawolves.com.
Promotions for the Sea Wolves home game on Saturday include $5 tickets for students and Teacher Appreciation Night, courtesy of Cellular South and WXXV Fox 25. There are also $2 drafts and $2 hotdogs from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The game can be heard beginning at 7:20 p.m. with the Nextel Pregame Show on WTNI-AM 1640 and online at msseawolves.com.
