Hutchins Back From Houston; Kean Placed On IR |
BILOXI, Miss. � The Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL announced today that left wing Jeff Hutchins has been assigned by the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League, while defenseman Jason Kean has been placed on the 7-day injured reserve.
Hutchins, 25, played two games with Houston picking up two penalty minutes. The 6-foot and 205-pound Hutchins is averaging a point-per-game with Mississippi this season, with 13 goals and 27 points along with 51 penalty minutes in 27 games. Hutchins is in his second season of professional hockey.
Kean, 24, has appeared in 10 games with the Sea Wolves this season, posting one goal, one assist and 10 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-11 and 185-pound Kean is in his rookie season of professional hockey.
Hutchins is expected to be in the lineup at 5:05 p.m. today as Mississippi visits the Pensacola Civic Center to take on the Ice Pilots. The broadcast can be heard beginning at 4:50 p.m. with the Nextel Pregame Show on WTNI-AM 1640 and online at www.msseawolves.com.
The Sea Wolves next home game is at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday against Pensacola at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
