Sea Wolves Activate Evangelista |
BILOXI, Miss. � The Mississippi Sea Wolves announced today that center John �Stumpy� Evangelista (ih-vahn-jehl-LIHST-ah) has been activated off the 7-day injured reserve.
Evangelista, 28, missed three games after being placed on the injured reserve on December 10. The 5-foot-9 and 185-pound Evangelista has five assists and seven points this season. The native of St. Catharines, Ontario is in his fifth season with Mississippi and sixth year of professional hockey.
Mississippi gets back into action at 7:05 p.m. tonight for its first-ever visit to the Ford Arena in Beaumont, Texas to play the Wildcatters. The broadcast can be heard beginning at 6:50 p.m. with the Nextel Pregame Show on WXBD-AM 1490 and online at www.msseawolves.com.
The Sea Wolves next home game is at 7:35 p.m. tomorrow against the Columbus Cottonmouths at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. Promotions include $2 drafts and $2 hotdogs from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
