BILOXI, Miss. � The Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL announced today that goaltender Greg Gardner has been assigned by the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
Gardner, 28, was recalled by Rochester on December 7, but did not appear in a game. Gardner is under contract to the Americans. He has appeared in 17 games with Mississippi this season posting a record of 8-6-3, a 2.68 goals against average and .917 save percentage. The 6-foot and 190-pound native of Mississauga, Ontario attended the 2003 training camps with Rochester and the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League.
Mississippi gets back into action at 7:05 p.m. tomorrow at Texas. The broadcast can be heard beginning at 6:50 p.m. with the Nextel Pregame Show on WXBD-AM 1490 and online at www.msseawolves.com.
The Sea Wolves next home game is at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday against the Columbus Cottonmouths at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. Promotions include �We Got Him� Night, offering free tickets to all military by showing identification at the Coliseum box office, courtesy of Keesler Federal Credit Union and $10 tickets in the gold level for non-military. There is also $2 drafts and $2 hotdogs from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
