BILOXI, Miss. � The Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL announced today that goaltender Greg Gardner has been recalled by the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
Gardner, 28, has appeared in 17 games with Mississippi this season posting a record of 8-6-3, with a 2.68 goals against average and .917 save percentage. The 6-foot and 190-pound native of Mississauga, Ontario is under contract to Rochester. Gardner attended the 2003 training camps with Rochester and the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League.
Gardner joins the Americans for their next game on Tuesday at Mile One Stadium in St. John's, Newfoundland against the Maple Leafs. Jody Green has been added as an emergency backup goaltender.
