Walby Placed On Injured Reserve; Lupandin Activated |
BILOXI, Miss. � Mississippi Sea Wolves coach and director of hockey operations Bob Woods announced today that right wing Steffon Walby (STEHF-ihn WAHL-bee) has been placed on the 7-day injured reserve, while defenseman Andrei Lupandin (AHWN-dray lew-PAHN-dihn) has been activated from the 7-day injured reserve.
Walby, 30, did not suit up on Sunday, in the Sea Wolves 3-1 setback at Augusta. The 6-foot and 200-pound native of Lodi, Wisconsin has netted eight goals and 25 points in 13 games this season. Walby has been on a roll with a five-game assist and point streak (3g-12a), including 11 points over his last three games (2g-9a).
Lupandin, 25, has collected three assists and six penalty minutes in nine games with Mississippi. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound native of Kharkiv, Ukraine has missed five games while on the IR.
