BILOXI, Miss. � Bob Woods, Coach and Director of Hockey Operations of the Mississippi Sea Wolves announced today that team captain and right wing Steffon Walby (STEHF-ihn WAHL-bee) has been activated from the 7-day injured reserve, while center Dwayne Blais (BLAH) has been placed on the 7-day injured reserve.
Walby, 31, missed seven games on the injured reserve and the Sea Wolves were 2-5-0 during his absence. The 6-foot and 200-pound native of Lodi, Wisconsin has scored eight goals and 25 points in 13 games this season. Walby returns to the lineup on a five-game assist and point streak (3g-12a), including 11 points over his last three games (2g-9a).
Blais, 26, has notched two goals and two assists this season in 20 games with Mississippi. The 5-foot-9 and 185-pound native of Sudbury, Ontario is in his third professional season and second year with the Sea Wolves.
Walby and the Sea Wolves return to the ice at 7:35 p.m. tomorrow against the Pensacola Ice Pilots at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. The game promotion consists of 2-for-1 military night, sponsored by Keesler Federal Credit Union. Mississippi also plays at home starting at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday against the Texas Wildcatters at the Wolves Den.
