BILOXI, Miss. � The Mississippi Sea Wolves announced on Thursday that Sea Wolves President and Governor Bo McMurphy has been named to the ECHL Board of Governors� Executive Committee by Chairman of the Board Craig Brush.
The Executive Committee plays an integral role in the ECHL, including providing direction to the Board of Governors on business issues and the future of the ECHL.
�The Sea Wolves are respected throughout the ECHL and I am honored to be a part of helping shape the future of the ECHL,� said McMurphy. �The league has tremendous leadership with ECHL Commissioner Brian McKenna and Chairman of the Board Craig Brush of the Florida Everblades. I am looking forward to contributing to the future success of the ECHL.�
A.J. �Bo� McMurphy is in his second season as President and Governor of the Sea Wolves. He was a key component in the Sea Wolves� �Faceoff Against Kids Cancer� which raised more than $54,000 in its first year in 2002-03. Actively involved in numerous civic and youth organizations, McMurphy is President of the Delta Youth Hockey League and has coached in the Junior Sea Wolves Ice Program the past five years. McMurphy serves on the board of directors and is a past president of the South Mississippi Inline Hockey League, which is sanctioned by both USA Hockey and the AAU. McMurphy, who is certified as both a coach and referee by both USA Hockey and the AAU, is a past president of Sunkist Country Club. He and his wife, Lori, live in Biloxi with their children, Ashley and Mac.
