Season Seat Sales For Sea Wolves Are Sizzling |
BILOXI, Miss. � The Mississippi Sea Wolves professional hockey team announced on Wednesday that they are the first team in the 31-team ECHL that is ahead of last year�s sales for season seats.
This is the earliest in team history that Mississippi has surpassed the previous year�s total of season seat holders.
The Sea Wolves are more than halfway to their goal of 2,000, which would be a team record.
�The biggest reason for the increase in season seats is due to the community involvement of the team over the past year,� said Sea Wolves president Bo McMurphy. �The new ownership is in its second year of a two-year plan. We�re having a good offseason, but we always appreciate the continued support of the community.�
The Sea Wolves open their eighth ECHL season on October 17 at home against the Louisiana IceGators.
