BILOXI, Miss. � Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino hosted the largest season ticket holder party in Mississippi Sea Wolves team history, providing all food, drinks and entertainment on Tuesday evening.
The Sea Wolves Club Wolf Pack �Faceoff Party� was attended by more than 1,100 season seat holders.
�Imperial Palace did a wonderful job putting on our Club Wolf Pack party,� Mississippi President Bo McMurphy said. �I want to thank Imperial Palace General Manager John Maclean, and his staff, for making it an unforgettable event. It was great to see all of the excitement with the renewing and new members of Club Wolf Pack.�
�It was a first-class event at Imperial Palace,� said Sea Wolves coach Bob Woods. �I�m looking forward to getting the season going. I think we have a lot of potential to do well. But this opening weekend will be a good test right away, playing long-time rivals Louisiana and Pensacola.�
Woods introduced the Sea Wolves opening night roster at Imperial Palace consisting of 20 players. The team has two goaltenders, seven defensemen and 11 forwards. The Sea Wolves announced goaltenders Mike Buckley and Sean Matile.
Defensemen for Mississippi include Jim Baxter, Chris Cava, Kerry Ellis-Toddington, Andrei Lupandin, Austin Miller, Steve O�Rourke and Patrick Rochon.
Up front at forward, the Sea Wolves have Anthony Battaglia, Dwayne Blais, Louis Dumont, John Evangelista, Mike Gamble, Brent Gauvreau, Jeff Hutchins, Travis Lisabeth, Roger Maxwell, Tom Rouleau and Steffon Walby.
Cava and Gamble have been placed on the 7-day injured reserve.
The puck drops on the Sea Wolves opening weekend at 7:35 p.m. on Friday against the Louisiana IceGators at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. On Sunday at 4:05 p.m., the Pensacola Ice Pilots pay a visit to the Wolves Den. Fans are asked to arrive early. Parking lot B will be unavailable for the opening weekend, due to a prior event booked by the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. Doors open one hour before each game.
Highlights for the opening night �Party with the Pack� include a special pregame ceremony, with two banners to be raised, commemorating the Sea Wolves on-ice success over the past two seasons. The first 5,000 fans through the gates will receive a magnetic schedule. Military personnel, active or retired, receive two tickets for the price of one, by showing military identification at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum box office only.
A limited number of tickets are available for the Sea Wolves home opener at 7:35 p.m. on Friday. Individual game tickets start at $9 for children and $11 for adults.
