BILOXI, Miss. � Bob Woods, Coach and Director of Hockey Operations of the Mississippi Sea Wolves announced on Tuesday that the team has waived defenseman Rob Davidson.
Davidson, 25, played in one preseason game with Mississippi accumulating four minor penalties and one major penalty for a total of 13 minutes in penalties. The 6-foot-6, 250-pound native of Brantford, Ontario enters his sixth season of professional hockey.
A limited number of tickets remain available for the Sea Wolves season opener. The puck drops on Mississippi�s eighth ECHL season at 7:35 p.m. on Friday against division rival Louisiana at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
Highlights for the opening night �Party with the Pack� include a special pregame ceremony, with two banners to be raised, commemorating the Sea Wolves on-ice success over the past two seasons. The first 5,000 fans through the gates will receive a magnetic schedule. Military personnel, active or retired, receive two tickets for the price of one, courtesy of Keesler Federal Credit Union, by showing military identification at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum box office only.
Individual game tickets start at $9 for children and $11 for adults. Tickets are available at all TicketMaster locations, the Mississippi Coast Coliseum box office and by calling 228-594-3707.
