BILOXI, Miss. � Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Bob Woods, of the Mississippi Sea Wolves announced that defenseman Sean Peach has been traded to the Idaho Steelheads for futures.
Peach, 24, split last season between Baton Rouge and Mississippi. He picked up three assists in 17 regular season games with the Sea Wolves, while tallying three goals and 13 assists in 38 contests for the Kingfish. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound native of Langley, British Columbia was acquired in a trade from the Baton Rouge Kingfish for Dwayne Blais (BLAH) and Curtis Menzul on January 13, 2003.
Mississippi�s training camp practice time for tomorrow, has been changed to start at 8 a.m. and run until 9:30 a.m. All practices are open to the public. Following practice, the Sea Wolves will take to the bus for two preseason games at Florida this weekend.
On Saturday, Mississippi takes on the Florida Everblades at 6:30 p.m. CT. at TECO Arena in Estero, Florida. Then on Sunday, Mississippi wraps up its preseason action at 2 p.m. CT against the Everblades.
The Sea Wolves open their eighth ECHL season at 7:35 p.m. on Friday, October 17 against the Louisiana IceGators. Two banners will be raised on opening night. There are a limited number of tickets available for the contest.
