BILOXI, Miss. - Mississippi Sea Wolves coach Bob Woods announced today that veteran forward Dave Paradise has re-signed for the 2002-03 season. As per team policy, terms of the contract were not released.
Paradise, 28, scored 20 goals and added 29 assists for 49 points in 60 games last season. The 6-foot, 190-pound native of St. Paul, Minnesota also set a team record with a plus/minus of +21. Paradise is entering his sixth season of professional hockey and fourth with the Sea Wolves.
"I'm excited to be back and get started. I've been working hard to get ready," said Paradise. "We had a good year last season, but we fell a little short. Hopefully this year we can go all the way."
"Dave had a solid second half and was effective in the playoffs last year," said Woods. "If he continues to play that way, Paradise will be a big asset this season."
Parking is free and season tickets have been lowered by as much as $50 per seat.
