Sea Wolves Sign Blais

BILOXI, Miss. - Mississippi Sea Wolves coach Bob Woods announced today the signing of center Dwayne Blais (BLAH) for the 2002-03 season.

Blais, 25, played last season with the Colorado Gold Kings of the West Coast Hockey League scoring nine goals, adding 17 assists for a total of 26 points to go along with 92 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-9, 185-pound native of Sudbury, Ontario is entering his second full season of professional hockey.

"I've heard great things about Mississippi and I'm really excited to play for the Sea Wolves," said Blais. "I've been working hard this summer and I hope that carries over to the season."

"Dwayne has good speed and plays gritty," said Woods. "He can play all three forward positions and I expect him to be an asset for our organization."

The Sea Wolves home opener is 5:05 p.m. on Sunday, October 13 against the Jackson Bandits.
