BILOXI, Miss. � Mississippi Sea Wolves coach Bob Woods announced today left wing Blair Stayzer has been traded to the Roanoke Express in exchange for future considerations.
Stayzer, 22, picked up one goal, two assists and 19 penalty minutes in 12 games with Mississippi this season. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound native of Welland, Ontario was signed by the Sea Wolves as a free agent on August 29.
The Sea Wolves host intrastate rival Jackson tomorrow at 7:35 p.m. It�s the second game in the battle for the Nextel Cup at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. Friday�s are military nights at the Wolves Den. By showing identification, all military buying one ticket, receive one FREE!
On Saturday, Mississippi welcomes the Pensacola Ice Pilots to the Wolves Den. It�s the second annual Nextel / Sea Wolves Howl Against Hunger. The first 3,000 fans bringing non-perishable food items for the Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen, will receive a Howl Towel. Following the game on Saturday, there will be a jersey auction. The proceeds go towards the Gulf Coast Youth Hockey Association.
