Paradise, Scott And Matile Named Sea Wolves Best In November

BILOXI, Miss. � Mississippi named its award winners for the month of November after finishing the month 7-6-2.

Forward Dave Paradise has been named the Sea Wolves Player of the Month for November, forward Mike Scott captured Mississippi's Rookie of the Month honors and Sean Matile (Mah-TEEL) took the team award for Goaltender of the Month.

Paradise, 29, scored eight goals and picked up 11 assists for 19 points in 14 games during November. The 6-foot, 190-pound veteran is a native of St. Paul, Minnesota. He leads Mississippi with 14 goals and 16 assists this season. Paradise is in his fourth year with the Sea Wolves and sixth season of professional hockey.

Scott, 25, tallied four goals and seven assists for 11 points in 15 games during the month of November. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound rookie is a native of Calgary, Alberta. Scott was acquired in a trade with Atlantic City on October 29 for cash.

Matile, 27, appeared in five games for Mississippi during November. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound native of Vernon, British Columbia stopped 96-of-101 shots during the month, compiling a 1.43 goals-against average and .950 save percentage. In his Sea Wolves debut, Matile made 35 saves to shutout the Jackson Bandits 3-0 on November 15 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.

The Sea Wolves get back into action at home on Friday at 7:35 p.m. against the Columbus Cottonmouths. All military showing identification at Friday home games, including NASA and Stennis employees, receive two regular priced tickets for the price of one.

Mississippi travels to Jackson on Saturday, for a 7:05 p.m. opening face-off in a battle against the Bandits.

The Sea Wolves round out the weekend with a Sunday home contest against the Louisiana IceGators at 5:05 p.m.

At all Sunday home games, adults purchasing an individual ticket, will receive one FREE ticket for a child 12 and under.
