Former Mississippi Sea Wolves defenseman Francois Beauchemin is in his first season with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the National Hockey League.
The 6-foot and 215-pound Beauchemin appeared in seven games with Mississippi during the 2001-02 season, notching one goal, which was a game-winner and three assists.
After playing with the Sea Wolves, Beauchemin suited up for the Montreal Canadiens and Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL before being acquired in a trade by Anaheim on November 15, 2005.
The 25-year-old Beauchemin has been a key contributor on the Mighty Ducks blueline helping the team to third place in the NHL�s Pacific Division. A native of Sorel, Quebec, Beauchemin has recorded four goals and 19 assists for 23 points in 36 games with Anaheim this season. |
