Where Is He Now? Michael Ryder
Former Mississippi Sea Wolves right wing Michael Ryder is in his second season with the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League.

The 6-foot and 196-pound Ryder appeared in 20 games with Mississippi during the 2001-02 season tallying an outstanding 14 goals, including six game-winners and 13 assists for 27 points.

After playing with the Sea Wolves, Ryder advanced to the American Hockey League and then to Montreal in 2003-04, where he was the runner-up for the NHL Rookie of the Year. Last season, the native of Bonavista, Newfoundland suited up for Leksands in Sweden.

Highlighted by scoring his first NHL hat trick on February 5 in a 5-0 victory against Philadelphia, Ryder has netted a team-leading 23 goals this season. The 25-year-old has also collected 13 assists for 36 points in 56 games helping Montreal to third place in the NHL�s Northeast Division at the Olympic break with a team record of 26-22-8.
