ECHL, TeamWork Online Announce Partnership
PRINCETON, N.J. The ECHL announced Tuesday that it has signed a licensing agreement with online sports-job recruiting service TeamWork Online to use its integrated job board and application tracking system software for human resource management to post jobs and recruit candidates.

The Premier AA Hockey League, the ECHL joins an elite group of professional sports leagues and teams, including the National Hockey League, the National Basketball Association and teams in the National Football League and Major League Baseball, who are using TeamWork Onlines recruitment software to find the sports industrys top talent. The companys software allows job seekers to make detailed applications for posted jobs and for sports properties to do refined searches based on applicant criteria.

To view employment opportunities, job seekers can visit the league web site at
echl.com or any of the 27 team web sites and click the ECHL Job Board link to be connected directly to the newly-created interactive ECHL Job Board.

Applicants will be able to navigate the jobs tab to review ECHL employment opportunities and will then be able to fill out and submit an online resume to use for one or more open positions. Candidates are notified by email that their resume has been received and in the future about their interview status. Those who are not chosen are asked if they wish to be contacted electronically about future openings and will be sent emails as soon as their respective selected position is posted. There is not a charge for candidates to submit their resume and application.

Posting jobs on the league and team web sites and using TeamWork Onlines technology will increase our recruiting efforts and augment our hiring efforts, said Glen Thornborough, ECHL Vice President of Marketing/Sales. In addition to providing the capability to respond to applicants in an efficient and timely manner, the software creates a database of interested and qualified candidates that teams can utilize for future employment opportunities.

Candidates now have a direct link to present their credentials online to the appropriate hiring manager and know their application has been received, said
Buffy Filippell, TeamWork Online Founder. Applicants are judged first on their skills and experience. It is the only online recruiting system with such a successful online hiring rate of its kind in sports today.

Created and used by Filippells TeamWork Consulting, Inc., the nations leading sports executive search firm, TeamWork Online is a collection of job boards and applicant tracking systems for sports teams, leagues, governing bodies and others. In the last four years more than 3,000 positions have been filled through the services of TeamWork Online and 62 percent of all positions posted have been filled with online applicants.

In addition to the four major sports leagues, TeamWork Online also provides its services to the ATP and the WTA Tour, the Golden Baseball League, Arena Football League and arenafootball2, Major League Soccer, Mandalay Sports Entertainment, the NBDL and the WNBA, and the 24 U.S. National Governing Bodies including USA Swimming, the U.S. Ski Team, USA Triathlon, USA Speedskating, US Equestrian Federation, and USA Soccer.

Began in 1988 with five teams in three states, the ECHL welcomes new markets in
Phoenix, Stockton (California) and Utah (Salt Lake City) and will play with 27 teams in 16 states and one Canadian province in 2005-06.

The ECHL had affiliations with 23 of the 30 teams in the National Hockey League in 2004-05 and there have been
256 former ECHL players who have gone on to play in the National Hockey League after playing in the ECHL. The ECHL had affiliations with 23 of the 28 teams in the American Hockey League in 2004-05 and for the past 16 years, there has been an ECHL player on the Calder Cup Champion .
