Filion, 22, spent the 2004-05 season with Alaska scoring 28 points (8g-20a) in 65 regular season games and had 10 points (3g-7a) in 15 playoffs games to help lead the Aces to the National Conference Finals.
The 5-11 and 195-pound native of Saint-Sauveur, Quebec began his professional career with Richmond of the United Hockey League after playing four seasons with Acadie-Bathurst of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he accumulated 305 points (96g-209a) in 276 games.
