BILOXI, Miss. � Mississippi Sea Wolves director of hockey operations and coach Bob Woods announced on Thursday that defenseman B.J. Adams has been acquired in a trade with the Florence Pride for future considerations.
Adams, 27, scored five goals and added 12 assists for a total of 17 points in 63 games last season with the Pee Dee (Florence) Pride, while accumulating 122 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound native of Scarborough, Ontario enters his fourth full season of professional hockey.
�B.J. is a steady stay-at-home type defenseman with a lot of experience,� said Woods. �He�s comes highly recommended from a number of sources around the ECHL and we�re excited to acquire his rights.�
Mississippi open its eighth ECHL season on Friday, October 17 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum against the Louisiana IceGators.
